If you would like to see our wedding photos, go to pictage.com and search under either of our names. You'll have to register as a user and I apologize beforehand- only about half of the photos are posted, but there are still about 800 so you might get bored quickly... over 1500 pictures (and some long distance marriage) is why we still don't have our album pictures selected. Any votes?

I love my house. I did lots of cleaning and Christmas decorating this weekend, and it makes me so happy. Our first Christmas in our house! (kinda- since we'll be in MI for Christmas) Saturday was my birthday so Jim and I saw a matinee at the dollar theater- (gotta love $2 for two tickets instead of $20), walked around the little shops in Old Colorado City, and ate dinner at a little Italian place there. So fun. I realized on Saturday that this month has been the first month of our marriage when Jim has been here and fully here, not somewhere else, on his way home from somewhere, or planning to head somewhere. One month out of fourteen. I guess that probably contributed to my not liking CO too much. It sure has grown on me though. Our little house is so nice, the mountains are beautiful, my husband is home safe with me, and I'm generally in a good mood since this is my second day in such a long time with no obligations. It's so nice that Jim will come home from work tonight and I won't have to think about schoolwork all night!! December is a much needed break from grad school. I'll still be at my internship 3 days a week, but no papers and reading for a while... just thinking about that is relaxing.

I sure did get a surprise two days after I wrote that first entry... Jim came home! Things have been wonderful, it just seems like everything is right in our little world now. We're so happy in our house with our two little kitties, and we got to spend the last two days snowed in- we had a blizzard. In October. This is crazy weather place.

Apparently I must have been living under a rock since everyone seems to have been xanga-ing for forever and I'm just starting. Really though, when you have four papers to work on, it seems that any distraction is welcome. I guess when it comes to overwhelming amounts of schoolwork and housework I turn into an underfunctioner-yes I am studying family systems therapy...

I might get to see my husband soon- maybe even next week! I almost can't even think about it as something real because it has been so long since I've seen his face. Can I talk about anxiety on a weblog? Well I am going to (I know- on my first one!) I'm anxious about getting all of my schoolwork done, I'm anxious about the house being beautiful and clean when he gets here (he's only lived in it for a few weeks out of the whole time we've owned it) I'm anxious about maybe missing some classes (they're real mean about that stuff in grad school) and I'm anxious (and excited) about seeing Jim again and starting our second first year of marriage. I must admit, his part of the separation was harder than mine in many many ways- warzone says it all- but we've both been through a lot and I'm sure we've changed. Maybe once I see him it will seem like he never left but to be honest- 2-3 fifteen minute calls per week barely counts as communication (and anyone reading this who has experienced the lovely international military phone system understands the misery thereof). So much to catch up on when he gets here- though that mostly means that I'll be doing a lot of talking since his recent life falls under the category "Classified" (they're real mean about that too:)  We're going to stay in a little cabin in the mountains for a few days- Yeah! finally getting to enjoy the mountains!
